Dewetsdorp - Working on Fire

On the 13 September we spent a wonderful day in Dewetsdorp thanks to Johan and Monika Breytenbach and the WoF Team. Johan gave us a very informative talk and then everyone piled onto the back of a truck and drove to the headquarters!

We were most impressed by their marching.

The children had an opportunity to march as well!

Dressed in the appropriate fire fighting gear!

Over 40 children attended this outing.

The team then made a fire and we had great fun watching them put it out!

Fire fighter Tracey!
The children were then allowed to dress up and put out little fires themselves! What fun!

 Fire fighter Callyn!

Afterwards we had a picnic and the children went off exploring. They had so much fun that we had to go and look for them when we wanted to go home!

Candle Making and Painting

On Friday we went to Crafts Step by Step where the children painted two candles and then made a candle milkshake! They had great fun and the final products were amazing!

Sasko

We had a great time at Sasko on Friday. Thanks, Elize, for organising a lovely outing. My children loved it and learnt so much and want to know when they can go back again!

The automated machines are fascinating. Here this one was putting the lids on the pans.

Loaves going in to the oven.

 Bread slicer.

 Ready to go!

Outing in March

We had our outing at Bob's Peanut Butter Shack again and Micklyn started off with a little party for Tane and Grace who have just had birthdays! Levi really enjoyed the chocolate cake which was actually made out of beans! (No flour and no sugar!)

The girls had a pamper party where Monika and Charmaine taught the girls how to cleanse and moisturise their skin. They used Annique products and the girls enjoyed trying out all the different products.

The boys had a craft day where Laurika taught them how to make boats out of juice bottles. They tried them out in the swimming pool but had problems getting them to remain upright so  they had to return to the table to make adjustments!

After all their activities they had great fun on the water slide!

Elize had a make over and look how stunning she looks!!
